Visit Shanes Seafood on Mansfield Rd for Authentic Cajun Flavors

Well, let me tell ya ’bout this place, Shane’s Seafood, down on Mansfield Road. I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know how.

First off, you wanna find it, it’s at 9176 Mansfield Road, in Shreveport. Can’t miss it, I reckon. Big ol’ place, smells like good cookin’ from a mile away. You go there, you ain’t gonna be hungry for long, that’s for sure.

Now, they got all sorts of stuff to eat. They call it “seafood and BBQ”, but I just call it good eatin’. They got this gumbo, chicken and sausage, I think they said. Spicy, but not too spicy, you know? Just right to warm ya up on a cold day. And they got them red beans and sausage too. My grandbabies, they love that stuff. Messy, but good.

And then there’s this crawfish somethin’-or-other… Etouffee, they call it. Fancy name for a tasty dish, I say. Tastes like somethin’ you’d eat down by the bayou, all them crawfish and spices. Makes my mouth water just thinkin’ about it.

They got a menu, you can look at it if you want. I ain’t much for readin’ all them fancy words, I just point at what looks good. They got pictures too, that helps. But honestly, everything looks good, so it don’t help much!

• Red beans, the kids love ’em.
• That crawfish stuff, Etouffee, somethin’ special.

You can order ahead, they say. “Order now for pickup,” they call it. I ain’t never done that, I like to go in and see what’s what. But if you’re in a hurry, I guess that’s the way to go.

People are always talkin’ ’bout this place, you know? On the internet, they got reviews and ratings and all that. I ain’t got no computer, so I wouldn’t know. But I hear folks sayin’ it’s a good place to eat, and I agree with ’em. They got a phone number too, you can call and ask ’em questions. Or you can just go on down there and see for yourself. That’s what I always do.

They got pictures too, I hear. Folks takin’ pictures of their food and puttin’ ’em online. I guess that’s what folks do these days. Me, I just eat my food, I ain’t got time for takin’ pictures. But I reckon it looks good, otherwise they wouldn’t be takin’ pictures of it, right?

They got maps too, showin’ you how to get there. But like I said, it ain’t hard to find. Just go down Mansfield Road, you’ll see it. Big ol’ place, can’t miss it. And if you do miss it, well, you ain’t lookin’ hard enough!

So, if you’re lookin’ for some good eatin’, go on down to Shane’s Seafood. You won’t be disappointed. Tell ’em I sent ya. They won’t know who you’re talkin’ about, but that’s alright. Just tell ’em the old lady down the road said it was good, they’ll know what you mean.

I reckon that’s about all I gotta say about Shane’s. It ain’t fancy, but it’s good food, and that’s all that matters to me. You go on down there and see for yourself.
