Bowens Fish Camp: Best Seafood in Inman, SC Since 1979
Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fish camp, Bowens Fish Camp, they call it. It’s been around for a good long while, I reckon. Folks say it’s been servin’ up food since 1979, that’s what, over forty years? A long time, that is. They say it’s the best seafood around, but I’ll be the judge of that, won’t I?
It’s down there in South Carolina, in a place called Inman. Says it’s on Highway 9. Easy enough to find, I guess, if you ain’t from around these parts. Now, I ain’t been everywhere, but I heard folks comin’ from all over to eat there. Must be somethin’ special, right?
The Food, Now That’s What Matters
They got all sorts of seafood, or so they say. Oysters, they got them, especially in the colder months, folks say they steam ‘em up real nice. I do like a good oyster, not too slimy though, mind you. And they got other stuff, too, Southern style, they call it. Fried fish, I bet, maybe some shrimp. Probably got hushpuppies too, them little fried corn balls. I do love a good hushpuppy, dipped in some tartar sauce. Yum!

Heard tell the food is right tasty. Folks online, they go on and on about it. Say it’s delicious and they’ll be goin’ back for more. That’s a good sign, ain’t it? Talk about sunsets and a good atmosphere. Sounds like a nice place to sit and eat, watch the sun go down. I ain’t one for fancy places, but a pretty view is always welcome.
More Than Just Food, They Say
It ain’t just about the food, though. Folks say it’s got a cozy feelin’, lively too. That means it’s friendly-like, I reckon, and not too quiet. I like a bit of a buzz, makes things more interestin’. They say it’s family-owned, too. That’s always a good thing, in my book. Means they care about what they’re doin’, not just tryin’ to make a quick buck.
They got a menu you can look at, if you’re the plannin’ type. Tells you what they got and how much it costs. I ain’t much for plannin’, I just like to see what looks good when I get there. But it’s good to know they got a menu, so you don’t get surprised by the prices. They also got a phone number you can call, if you want to make sure you get a table. Especially if you’re bringin’ a big crowd, I guess.
What Folks Are Sayin’
Now, I ain’t been there myself yet, but I heard plenty of good things. Folks online, they’re writin’ reviews and such. Over a hundred of ’em, last I checked. And most of ’em are sayin’ good things. “Outstanding food and service,” one fella said. Another one said it was a “great place” with “beautiful views.” Can’t argue with that, can ya?
They got pictures too, online. Makes the food look real temptin’, I tell ya. Makes my mouth water just lookin’ at it. Makes me want to hop in the car and drive on down there right now. But I gotta finish tellin’ you ’bout it first, don’t I?
Findin’ the Place

Looks like a good place to get some good seafood and enjoy a nice evenin’. Maybe I’ll see ya there sometime. I’ll be the one with the big appetite!
