Over all these years, it’s become a real staple in Roslyn. Folks from near and far come by to get a taste of what they call “good ol’ American food.” Ain’t nothin’ fancy, just good, hearty meals that fill you up right.

They open up around noon, right? From 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, so you got a pretty good window to get in there and grab a bite. Whether you’re just a couple of you or a whole big ol’ family or group of friends, there’s always room for you. But I do recommend calling ahead if you’re planning on comin’ in at a busy time. There’s always folks comin’ through these doors, so it’s best to make sure you got a table waiting.

I guess that’s good for them, but for those of us who’ve been comin’ to the Jolly Fisherman for years, it’s a big ol’ change. There ain’t nothin’ quite like the charm of a family-run place that’s been around for decades. I don’t know if Pietro’s will bring the same warmth and comfort that the Jolly Fisherman had, but we’ll see, I suppose.

In any case, if you ain’t been yet, I reckon you better get there before it shuts down. A place like that don’t come ‘round every day. So if you’re ever in the Roslyn area, you take a turn down there and grab yourself a plate of whatever they got goin’. Who knows when you’ll get to eat there again.
