Well, let me tell ya ’bout eatin’ in Columbia, PA. It ain’t fancy, but you can find some good grub if ya know where to look.
Eatin’ Out in Columbia, PA: What’s Good?
I ain’t one for them fancy restaurants with names ya can’t even pronounce. Give me good, plain food, that’s what I say. Folks ’round here seem to like a few places. Heard tell of Rocky’s BBQ over on North 3rd Street. Barbecue, that’s stick-to-your-ribs kinda food. Don’t know ’bout the prices, but they say it’s good.
Then there’s Union Station Grill and Bullys Restaurant Pub. Sound like places where ya can get a decent meal. Union Station, that makes me think of trains and maybe some good ol’ American food. Bullys, well, that just sounds like a place where ya can have a good time and get a burger or somethin’. Folks online, they say these places are the best around. Yelp, that’s what the young’uns use to find stuff, they say it’s the top 10 best.
Now, I ain’t much for orderin’ food online, but the kids these days, they love that Uber Eats thing. Said ya can get all sorts of food delivered right to your door. Pizza, Chinese, burgers, Mexican, even that healthy food that tastes like grass. Me? I like my food hot and fresh, right off the stove or grill. But if you’re stuck at home or somethin’, I guess it’s alright. They even give ya $15 off your first order, if you use some kinda code. US somethin’ or other. Don’t remember. Too many numbers for this old brain.
If you’re lookin’ for lunch, there’s plenty of places, I reckon. Can’t name ’em all, but you can find something. Just drive around town, ya see? Look for where the cars are parked. That’s where the good food is, usually.
Livin’ in Columbia, PA
Now, Columbia, it ain’t a big city, but it’s a nice place to live. Folks are friendly, and it’s what they call “affordable.” That means it don’t cost an arm and a leg to live here. You can settle down here, raise a family, and not worry too much. Kids can go to school here, though they say the schools ain’t the best. But they learn enough, I reckon. It’s a safe place, too, mostly. Not too much trouble. Just good, plain folks tryin’ to make a livin’.
Findin’ a Place to Eat
If you’re new to town, the best way to find a good place to eat is to ask around. Talk to the folks at the gas station, the grocery store, the post office. They’ll tell ya where the good food is. Or you can just drive around and see what looks good. Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t look like much from the outside.
And if you’re really stuck, you can always use that OpenTable thing, I heard about. Supposed to help ya find a table at a restaurant. Sounds fancy to me, but I guess it works.
Anyways, that’s all I know about eatin’ in Columbia, PA. It ain’t much, but it’s home. And there’s always somethin’ good to eat, if ya know where to look.
So, to sum it all up:
- Rocky’s BBQ: Good for barbecue
- Union Station Grill and Bullys Restaurant Pub: Popular places, good for American food and a good time.
- Uber Eats: For when you don’t wanna go out.
- Ask the locals: They know best!
And that’s that. Now go on and get yourself somethin’ to eat!
