Discover The Fish Wagon Menu: Farmer Citys Best Fish & Chips
Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Fish Wagon place, down in Farmer City. I ain’t never been one for fancy eatin’, but this place, it’s somethin’ else. They got all sorts of fried stuff, ya know? Fish, mostly, but other things too.
Now, I ain’t seen no fancy menu, not like them city folk have. But from what I hear, and what my grandkids tell me, they got a good selection. Lots of fried fish, that’s for sure. Heard tell they got catfish, cod, maybe some others too. All fried up nice and crispy, just the way I like it.
And the chips! Oh, them chips. They ain’t them skinny little things you get at the store. These are thick-cut, real potato chips, fried golden brown. Salty and greasy, just the way they oughta be. You can get a whole mess of ’em, enough to feed a whole family, I reckon.
- They got fish, like I said.
- And them chips.
- I hear tell they got some other stuff too, like onion rings and maybe some fried shrimp.
- My grandson, he likes them hushpuppies. Little balls of fried cornmeal, I guess. He says they’re real good.
Now, I ain’t sure ’bout the prices. Things cost more these days, that’s for sure. But I reckon it’s worth it, if you’re lookin’ for a good, hearty meal. Nothin’ fancy, mind you, just good ol’ fried food. The kind that sticks to your ribs and keeps you goin’ all day.
Folks say you can find this Fish Wagon place down on Clinton Avenue. That’s what I heard, anyway. Can’t miss it, I reckon. Just look for the place with all the cars parked outside. That’s usually a good sign, ya know? Means the food’s good.
I ain’t never been one for readin’ reviews or lookin’ at pictures of food. I like to see it for myself, smell it, taste it. But my grandkids, they’re always lookin’ at that stuff on their phones. They say the Fish Wagon gets good reviews, lots of stars and such. People seem to like it, that’s for sure.
They got a phone number, I hear, if you wanna call ahead and order. That’s probably a good idea, ‘specially if you’re goin’ on a Friday night or somethin’. Everybody likes to eat fish on a Friday, seems like. And I reckon this Fish Wagon gets pretty busy.
They even got a map, if you ain’t from around here. Shows you right where the place is. Can’t get lost, even if you tried. Not that Farmer City is a big place, mind you. But still, it’s nice to know where you’re goin’.
Now, some folks like to download the menu, look at it on their phones or computers. I ain’t got no use for that. I like to go up to the counter, see what they got, and order it right then and there. But I guess it’s handy for some folks, bein’ able to see the prices and what they offer before they go.
So, if you’re ever in Farmer City, and you’re lookin’ for a good, honest meal, I reckon you should check out the Fish Wagon. It ain’t fancy, but it’s good. Just good ol’ fried food, the kind that fills you up and makes you feel good. And that’s all that matters, right?
And remember, they’re on Clinton Avenue. Can’t miss ’em. Go on and get yourself some fried fish and chips. You won’t regret it.
They open for lunch and dinner, I think. But you might wanna call and check, just to be sure. Nothin’ worse than drivin’ all the way down there and findin’ out they’re closed.
That’s about all I know ‘bout the Fish Wagon. Heard it’s good, folks like it, and they got plenty of fried food. Can’t ask for much more than that, can ya?
