Well, ain’t that somethin’, you wanna know about this kingfish carryout menu, eh? Alright, alright, let me tell ya what I know.
So, they got this KingFish place, see? And they got food you can take home. Carryout, they call it. Fancy folks with fancy words. It’s just takin’ food to go, is all.
- They got fish. Kingfish, maybe? I dunno, lotsa fish. They say “cod” and “scrod”. Sounds fishy to me, ha!
- Shrimp, too. Fried shrimp. Them little fellas, all curled up and crunchy.
- Clam strips. Never had ’em. Too much like worms for my taste. But some folks like ’em, I guess.
You can make your own box, they say. Pick two or three things. Like pickin’ berries, only it’s fish. Don’t make much sense to me, puttin’ all that different stuff together. But folks like choices, I reckon.
Now, they also got this big sandwich. A “Super Sandwich,” they call it. A whole lotta meat. Beef, they say. And bacon, too. And cheese. Pepper jack cheese. Spicy stuff, prob’ly. Enough to fill ya up, that’s for sure. Half a pound of beef! That’s like a whole cow on a bun!
And they got a whitefish sandwich, too. Another big one. They say it’s almost a pound. A POUND! That’s a lotta fish, I tell ya. They like their big portions, these folks. Make sure nobody goes hungry, I guess.
Now, where is this KingFish place? Jeffersonville, they say. In Indiana. And somewhere in Louisville too, on somethin’ called River Road. Sounds pretty, by the river. You can eat your carryout by the water, maybe. Watch the boats go by.
People say they like the food. Lotsa reviews and photos, apparently. Folks takin’ pictures of their food. Times have changed, ain’t they? Back in my day, you just ate your food, didn’t take pictures of it.
They got hours, too. KingFish Hours. Means they’re open certain times, I reckon. Gotta check when they’re open before ya go, don’t wanna get there and find the door locked.
