And that Golden Gate Bridge, well, it’s somethin’ else. Big and red, and you can see it from miles away. They say it’s one of the most famous bridges in the world. I ain’t seen that many bridges, but I reckon they’re right. It’s a real sight.

Lots to Do and See

Now, there’s more than just lookin’ at things. You got shops, selling all sorts of stuff. T-shirts, hats, little doo-dads. And food! Oh, the food! Fish, mostly. Fresh outta the ocean, they say. Crabs as big as your head, shrimp piled high, and all sorts of other things I can’t even name. Smells a bit fishy, but that’s how you know it’s good, right?

Barbary Coast Trail, Where’s That?

They say this Pier 43 1/2 is on somethin’ called the Barbary Coast Trail. Sounds fancy, huh? I ain’t walked it myself, my old bones ain’t up for it. But I hear it goes all along the waterfront, and you can see all sorts of things.

More Than Just a Pier

So, this Pier 43 1/2, it ain’t just a place to catch fish. It’s a whole experience. You go there, you see things, you eat things, you buy things. It’s a good way to spend a day, I reckon. A Place to Remember

I went there once with my late husband, bless his soul. We ate some of the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. The seagulls were a bit pesky, trying to steal our food, but it was all part of the fun. It’s a place that sticks with ya, ya know? Good memories.

Worth the Trip

Even if you ain’t from around there, it’s worth the trip. Just hop in your car, or catch a bus, or whatever it is you do, and go see it for yourself. It’s better than sittin’ at home watchin’ that darned television all day, I’ll tell ya that much.
